Late Junior Pope’s wife marks his 45th birthday with emotional tribute

On what would have been Junior Pope’s 45th birthday, his wife, Jennifer Awele, poured out her heart in a deeply emotional Instagram post, remembering her late husband.

Sharing a touching video of the actor playing joyfully with their children, Jennifer wrote, “It’s May 7th 2025 and I’m not celebrating you with my different birthday surprises… but with a heart that still beats in rhythm with yours.”

She recalled a sweet memory from 2010, when he first told her his birthday was “the last day in the first week of May.” Today, that day feels heavy with grief and longing.

Junior Pope tragically passed away on April 10, 2024, following a boat accident while returning from a movie shoot. His death shook the Nollywood industry.

“Happy 45th Birthday our Daddy in Heaven,” she ended her tribute. “Keep watching over us, Debonair.”
