Lets forgive the woman that brutalized the 10-year-old boy – APC chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, pleads

APC Chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, has pleaded with Nigerians to have mercy on the woman accused of brut@lising a 10-year-old boy left in her care. 

On Thursday, June 18, a video made the rounds on social media showing the accused, Mrs Chisom Chukwuyere, weeping profusely after her infant child was taken into protective custody in Anambra State. The woman wept as officials of the state Ministry of Women Affairs took her baby from her following her arrest and detention by the police.

While many Nigerians celebrated this move, Igbokwe said the suspect’s cry touched his marrow. He asked that people forgive her. He wrote

‘’Despite the despicable behavior of this woman, I plead for forgiveness because of her Child. She has learnt her lessons in the hardest way. Her cries touched me to the marrow. The boy she maltreated will be fine, and he will be a great man and a wonderful person. Let Nigerians join me to plead for this woman and her daughter. By the way, where is her husband? He should show face at a time like this for his family.”
