Liverpool will start their Premier League campaign against Norwich at the Anfield on Friday, here are facts about the opening clash of the 2019/20 season.

TEAM NEWS:LIVERPOOL:

Sadio Mane is doubtful for the clash against Norwich, the Senegalese forward played no part in the pre-season for Liverpool after building Senegal to the African Nations Cup finals in Egypt.James Milner is a doubt after picking up a knock against Manchester City in the Community Shield clash last week, he is unlikely to start against Norwich City.

NORWICH CITY:

The Canaries will be without Christoph Zimmermann, Alex Tettey and Louis Thompson for the clash against Liverpool.Timm Klose is a major doubt with a hip problem but could still make the cut to face the Reds.

HEAD TO HEAD:

Liverpool had a huge head to head record against Liverpool, the Anfield outfit has been unbeaten against the Canaries in 12 matches since 1994. Liverpool boast of 39 goals in those games, and 10 of them have resulted in victory – most recently a thrilling 5-4 triumph at Carrow Road in January 2016.

NORWICH CITY:

Daniel Farke’s men won three, lost two and drew one of their five pre-season friendly matches. The Canaries showed a good form last season which earned them a promotion to the English top flight this season.
