Man Mourns Soldier Allegedly Killed By Unknown Gunmen In Rivers State (Photos)

A Nigerian man identified as Israel Eze is mourning his brother, a soldier, who was killed by unknown gunmen in River State.

Taking to Facebook on Monday, April 27, Eze disclosed that the officer was shot dead by gunmen on Sunday April 25, in Port Harcourt.

“I still couldn’t hold myself on Sunday when I received the sad news that my Immediate Brother (Victor) was gunned down by unknown gun men in Port-Harcourt City, He was serving as a Navy diligently, hard-working and always willing to help his colleagues in anyway he could, I wouldn’t know if he was jealous or whatever. Rest in Peace, Sleep Eternal in the Bossom of the Lord,” he wrote.

“Oh Death where is thy sting. Oh Death where is thy victory. The Sting of death is sin, And the Strength of sin is the Law. But Thanks Be to God Who gave Us Victory Through Our Savior Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians V. 55-57”

It’s not clear if the officer was among security operatives killed by gunmen in Rivers State last weekend.

It would be recalled that some officers of the Customs, Police and Civil Defence services in their duty posts along the Port Harcourt-Owerri express way, were ambushed and gruesomely murdered in cold blood by armed attackers.

The next day, Sunday, April 25, the state witnessed another deadly attack and killing of officers and men of the Nigerian Army right in their duty post at Abua town in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of the state
