A young Nigerian man seeks advice on investing his N26 million inheritance amid a N7M loan request from his three-month relationship.
His dilemma, however, deepened when his girlfriend of three months asked for a N7 million loan from the money.
The anonymous man reached out to an influencer @Skolex5 on X, who shared his concerns with the public. According to him, he is torn between Japa abroad or investing his inheritance wisely. However, his girlfriend’s request for a loan has added to his confusion.
In his words:
“I got an inheritance of 26m, should I japa or invest? My gf of 3 months is already saying I should borrow her 7m. What should I do?”

The post has since drawn mixed reactions, with many social media users warning him to be cautious with his finances and questioning his girlfriend’s intentions. Others advised him to prioritize his future and consider professional financial guidance before making any major decisions.
A social media user, @DamilareOdulesi reacted, “She’s going to ruin you. She will never return that money and that would be the beginning of your troubles. If you got it by inheritance, it means someone kept it for you. Think of investing it too and make it yield profit. Spend from the profit not the capital. Dump her ASAP.”
Another user @Sunshades1212 added, “Borrow your girlfriend N7m then invest the remaining N19m in her hair and lashes business. Dem tie your umbilical cord for your village. Ozuor!!”
