A Nigerian man has issued a warning to residents of Douglas in Owerri after he and his friends were robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight.

In a post shared on TikTok, he recounted how the incident occurred around 11 a.m. when a group of armed men attacked them and stole their phones.

His statement reads: “If you’re in Owerri and passing through Douglas, be very careful. On Tuesday, seven boys surrounded me and my friends, using guns to take our phones in broad daylight.”

“This happened around 11 to 12 in the morning. If you’re in Owerri, avoid Douglas and stay vigilant.”

As he shared more details about the incident, his video quickly gained traction, drawing numerous reactions from social media users who flooded the comment section with their thoughts.
