Massive Boost For Nigeria As CAF Approves Full Capacity Stadium Ahead Of Ghana Clash In Abuja

The Confederation of African Football has given approval for 60,000 fans to be allowed to watch the second leg of the World Cup play-off between Ghana and Nigeria at the Mashood Abiola stadium in Abuja.

Africa’s football governing body had earlier agreed for only 30,000 fans to be admitted at the stadium but according to Ghanasoccernet, CAF approved NFF’s request for full capacity stadium. Nigeria will host the Black Stars on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Mashood Abiola stadium in the World Cup play-off decider between the two countries.

The Black Stars were held at home by the Super Eagles in Kumasi last Friday, leaving the game opened for both sides in the second leg.

The news of 60,000 fans to be allowed at the Mashood Abiola stadium is huge morale booster for Nigeria, who are chasing another World Cup appearance.
