Argentine won’t head to North America yet

Lionel Messi’s shock exit from Barcelona as a free agent has come too early for any move to Major League Soccer for the Argentine, claims Marca.

The veteran Blaugrana legend was reportedly interested in a move to North Amerrica in two years’ time, at the end of the 2022-23 season – and after a final shot at the World Cup.

But with Qatar 2022 looming on the horizon, the striker is sure to look for another big name side to match his ambition on the field, with Manchester City thought to be heading the chase over Paris Saint-Germain.
