Napoli have completed the permanent signing of Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United in a €44 million deal, following confirmation of their qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
The agreement was triggered after Napoli secured the required league position, activating an obligation-to-buy clause tied to their European qualification.
According to reports, Hojlund initially arrived on a season-long loan that included a conditional purchase obligation dependent on Napoli reaching Europe’s elite competition under manager Antonio Conte.
That condition was met after Napoli’s 3-0 win over Pisa, which secured a five-point gap over Como with one match remaining in the season.
Hojlund played a direct role in the decisive victory, assisting the opening goal scored by Scott McTominay before adding a stoppage-time goal to cap off a dominant performance.
The transfer marks a significant squad reshuffle for Manchester United, who allowed the forward to leave after an inconsistent spell in the Premier League.
