Actor Yul Edochie has shared his opinion on how society responds to men facing emotional struggles.
Reacting to a viral video involving media personality Roby Ekpo, Yul stated that society rarely shows pity or emotional support to men in difficult situations.
According to him, men are often expected to endure pain silently and continue moving forward regardless of their circumstances.
He said it was painful seeing a man publicly breaking down in tears, adding that many people are less sympathetic toward emotional men compared to women.
Yul argued that men are generally expected to remain strong even during emotional hardship.
His words …
“Pity doesn’t work for men? It works for women only. Nobody has time to pity a man. Thats why it pa!ned me when I saw that our guy( Roby Ekpo) sitting in this chair and cry!ng, why would you even be cry!ng? Anything that happens to a man, you need to stand up and keep moving”
