CYRIACUS IZUEKWE

A married Congolese woman Mrs Glory Fahuji and her son, Junior, are stranded in Lagos after her Nigeria husband, Ray Fahuji dumped them and sold their Lagos family house, married another woman and moved to Benin City in Edo State.

P.M.EXPRESS also gathered the husband, secretly sold their family house for N6m located at 16 Adebayo street, Boniface Ashipa in Ayobo in Lagos suburb, where they resided before he moved with the new wife to Edo State.

Trouble started for both the mother and the son, when the new landlord, Omoregie Monday surfaced and told them that he had bought the house from the owner and asked them to leave the house.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Ray met Glory 24 years ago in Congo republic where they married and later relocated to Nigeria. They had only son, Ray Junior who is 24 years and a footballer.

It was when the new landlord surfaced that the wife and the son knew what happened and told the new landlord that the house was jointly built as such, Ray cannot sell it without their consent.

It was learnt that Glory made substantial contribution for the purchase of the land and building where they lived peacefully until recently when her husband started behaving strangely.

There was exchange of words and resistance by the embattled wife and son before Monday went and arranged with the police at Area M Command, Idimu to eject them forcefully.

Junior was arrested and charged before court with conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and threat to life under the Criminal Code.

He was arraigned before Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo where he pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail.

The matter was adjourned till 19 June 2017 for trial.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered while Glory was trying to release Junior from the Prison custody, Monday arranged with unknown men suspected to be thugs and went and threw Glory’s property from the house and sent her away.
