Nigerian Man Arrested For Allegedly Duping Indian Woman With Promise of Job in UK (Photo)



The woman registered a complaint against him at the North East Division Cyber Crime police station.

Police officers in Bengaluru, India have arrested a Nigerian national for allegedly duping a woman after promising her a job in the UK.

The accused identified as Okocha Kasmir Ikemba was arrested on Sunday, February 26, 2023. 

According to the police, he contacted a woman about a job opening in the UK through email and even promised her the job after which she transferred Rs 34,07,542 to his account. But he did not get her any job.

The woman registered a complaint against him at the North East Division Cyber Crime police station. 

The police arrested the Nigerian national and seized six mobile phones, a laptop, a SIM card and a passport. They have registered the case and further investigation is under way.
