Nigerians ask questions after VeryDarkMan claimed N180m donation was stolen after his website was hacked

Nigerians have a lot of questions after social critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM) claimed that N180m was stolen from his account after hackers breached his NGO website. 

Recall that a number of Nigerians donated to VDM after he announced he was launching an NGO in October 2024, with Don Jazzy single-handedly giving N100million. 

Now, two months later, VDM claimed on Instagram on Dec 27 that of the generous donations made to his NGO by Nigerians, only N20million is left while N180million has been stolen. 

“I would be honest with you guys. For the past few days, I have not been myself. Somebody hacked into the NGO website and I don’t know how they did it. N180 million is missing. Thankfully, we’ve tracked the person, and we are on our way to Jos. They have arrested one. The account has been put on PND (Post No Debit). The account now has N20 million.” he said. 

However, Nigerians are asking questions across social media accounts, causing VDM to trend.
