NPFL 2019-20: MFM Stun Heartland As Rivers Held Kano Pillars



Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC stunned former coach Fidelis Ilechukwu side Heartland 1-0 in Okigwe as Rivers United held Kano Pillars to a goalless draw at the Sani Abacha Stadium in the season-opening games of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Mfon Udoh saved his side, Akwa United, the blushed when his equaliser secured a point for the Uyo side at the Warri City Stadium on Sunday against returnees, Warri Wolves on the opening day of the NPFL 2019/20 season.Two other games; Enyimba vs Nasarawa United and Rangers vs Sunshine Stars were rescheduled due to Enyimba and Rangers’ CAF Confederation Cup games on Sunday. The two former champions won their respective games and booked their places in the group stage of the continental competition.
