Oliver Cee – Biography of Afrobeat -Redefining Sensation

Chisom Oliver Abah, professionally known as Oliver Cee, is an Afrobeat-redefining sensation whose ingenious blend of country, pop, and highlife breathes new life into the world-acclaimed Afrobeat genre.

Born and raised in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo-Eze North of Enugu State, Nigeria, Oliver Cee draws deep inspiration from his cultural roots as a young artist from the East of the Niger. He describes his music as “Soulful Oringo,” a phrase that literally means deep enjoyment or a good time.

Beyond the influence of his cultural background, Oliver Cee’s passion for music stems from a deep love for the art and the joy of expressing himself through it. He has spent years honing his craft, having started singing at a very young age—especially in church—where he was a lead vocalist in various choir setups including Dunamis Church, Christ Embassy, and the Catholic Church.

He was also the lead vocalist of the now-defunct group V BOM C (Vision Voice on a Mission).

“My message is simple,” he says. “I create music inspired by my cultural roots, reflecting themes of love, personal struggles, and the social injustices around us.
