One Dies In Third Mainland Bridge Auto Crash

One Dies In Third Mainland Bridge Auto Crash

In what will come across as a really tragic development, a yet-to-be-identified male adult has died in Lagos.

The man was confirmed dead and one other person injured after three vehicles crashed on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the accident happened at about 10:15 am on Thursday around the UNILAG Waterfront end of the bridge.

The multiple accidents involved a Ford bus conveying food items from Mile 12 inward Lagos Island, a Toyota Camry and an OPEL car.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Taofiq Adebayo, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.

He said the Toyota Camry had a tyre burst while in motion, thereby colliding with the two other vehicles.

“The other person sustained severe injuries and had been taken to the hospital.

“LASTMA Officials and policemen from Oworonsoki police station are also on the ground to manage the traffic situation,” he added.
