Paraguay beats Türkiye 1–0 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup

Washington, June 20 (SANA)– Paraguay beat Türkiye1-0 in the match that took place Saturday morning at Levi’s Stadium in the United States, as part of the second round of Group D in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Matías Galarza scored the game’s only goal just 64 seconds after kickoff, making it the fastest goal of the tournament so far.

The match was highly entertaining, with Türkiye squandering several clear-cut scoring chances, while the crossbar and the post denied a number of dangerous attempts.

With this victory, Paraguay earned its first three points of the tournament after opening its campaign with a 4–1 defeat to the United States in the first round.

The United States currently tops Group D with six points, officially securing qualification for the Round of 32. Meanwhile, Australia and Paraguay are tied on three points each, while Türkiye sits at the bottom of the group with no points ahead of the final round of the group stage.
