Parts of Abuja flooded following heavy downpour

The Airport Road and Lugbe area of Abuja are currently flooded following the heavy downpour witnessed in the FCT today, September 1.

Videos shared online shows heavy traffic gridlock on the roads following the heavy flood.

This flooding incident comes barely two weeks after the FCT also witnessed one. T

As part of measures to stop the flooding, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has begun the demolition of houses said to have been constructed on water channels in the FCT.
