According to a source, some residents of the affected communities and some policemen as well as other security agents were feared killed in the communal clash.

Suspected thugs reportedly from Ilaje Local Government Area allegedly invaded Kajola and Koseru Communities in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on Saturday, killing and destroying properties.

The source added that the residents were running helter skelter for safety when the invaders attacked the communities as the place had been deserted.

The state Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the clash as she said, “policemen are there, including tactical teams.”

She, however, could not confirm reported killing of policemen or security agents in the crisis.
