Eibar start their bid for survival in LaLiga Santander with a trip to the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano to face Real Madrid.

Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side sit just two points above the relegation zone and could actually be in the bottom three by the time they kick-off on Sunday, depending on other results.

The Basque club will be looking towards their best-paid player, Sergi Enrich, to score the goals to keep them in Spain’s top flight.

The striker was one of the few Eibar players that were able to properly keep fit over the period of lockdown in Spain because he has a big garden at home to exercise in.

When Eibar returned to training in May, he was one of the top performers in terms of fitness within the whole squad.

It’s a different story to the start of the campaign, where Enrich was unable to shake off previous injury problems in order to gain some rhythm to his play.

After a spell of just one goal in 15 months, the 30-year-old has no time to spare as he looks to make Real Madrid his first victim on Sunday.
