The Rivers state commissioner of police, Mr Joseph Mukan was glad to commission an ultra modern 14 rooms police station proudly donated by the MD/CEO of Victoria creek gardens estate Mr Michael Amadi Orwu at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Victoria Creek Gardens 2 (VGC2) in Port-Harcourt over the weekend.

The Police Station is in close proximity to the VCG2 and the Port Harcourt International Airport and is intended to serve the Omuoda community in the Ikwerre local government area as a corporate social responsibility and service to the state and Nation at large.

The Ikwerre Local Government Chairman – Engineer Samuel Nwanosike, the Surveyor General – Noel Elenwo, representatives from host communities (Omuoda and Mbodo) and other state and local officials were present at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Victoria Creek Gardens 2; an enormous project targeted at contributing to the improvement of the housing system in Port Harcourt and by extension, boosting the local economy with its peculiar feature to ensure an exhaustively luxurious lifestyle for its future residents. This construction is under the supervision, inspection, and direction of Ampal Constructions Nigeria Ltd. who have guaranteed the completion and readiness of the VCG2 by January 2023.

The local government chairman, Engr. Samuel Nwanosike, was very delighted as he spoke, he expressed utmost gratitude to the MD/CEO VCG for such an ingenious initiative to bring development and growth to the area. He referenced the support of the community members to the initiative and also stated their willingness to provide support to ensure the completion and longevity of the VCG2. He also gave his full support and blessings.
