Media personality and broadcaster, Rufai Oseni, has condemned the reported killing of teachers in Oyo State, describing the incident as a troubling reflection on the value placed on education and educators in Nigeria.
Speaking on the issue, Oseni expressed deep concern over what he described as public silence and lack of outrage following the attack.
He stressed that teachers play a foundational role in national development and deserve stronger protection and recognition.
According to him, the loss of educators in violent circumstances should provoke widespread concern, noting that such individuals are central to shaping the future of any country.
“Teachers were b£he@ded in Oyo state and we’re quiet about it, do you know the role of a teacher in the life of a country? There’s nothing a country can become without a teacher.
But we have become a country when teachers are b£hd£d we are quiet. A country that does not cry and seek justice.
Where teachers are b£h*d£d is a country without education. That teacher could have been your brother, your sister, or your everything. Just imagine how a person that loved that teacher the most would feel…”
