BREAKING: Absolutely devastating news as Kun Agüero may no longer be able to play football due to his serious heart condition.

Some heart-breaking news is emerging from Spain, with reports suggesting that Sergio Aguero may not play football again after being diagnosed with a heart condition.

The Barcelona forward suffers with cardiac arrhythmia – otherwise known as an irregular heartbeat, and was forced off the pitch with breathing difficulties in the 1-1 draw with Alaves.

A statement made by Barcelona on 1st November said: “Aguero has been subjected to a diagnostic and therapeutic process by Dr Brugada.

“He is unavailable for selection and, during the next three months, the effectiveness of treatment will be evaluated in order to determine his recovery process.”

But Catalunya Ràdio reports that is a degree of scepticism surrounding Aguero’s recovery, and there are fears that we may not see the Argentine on the pitch again.

Aguero is not the only Barcelona player battling a heart condition, with women’s team player Caroline Graham Hansen also forced off the pitch complaining of chest pains.

But her condition is slightly different, with the 26-year-old having a benign arrhythmia, meaning she can soon return back to physical activity.

Aguero’s arrhythmia is not benign, and his heart issues are therefore deemed to be more complex and serious.

No decision has been made on Aguero’s future yet, and the report suggests he will undergo stress tests to see how it evolves.

It is a troubling spell period for the 33-year-old, who is undoubtedly one of the finest strikers of his generation.

His total of 184 Premier League goals is more than any other foreign player, and won 6 Premier League titles, 6 League Cups and 1 FA Cup in a glittering 10-year spell with Manchester City.

The forward joined Barcelona on a free transfer in July, and scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid last month.
