The Afro-beat Industry Has No Respect For Hip-hop – Rapper, M.I Abaga Says After He Was Denied Access To Rick Ross

Superstar Nigerian rapper, M.I Abaga has said that the Afro-beat industry has no respect for Hip-hop after he was denied access to American rapper, Rick Ross who is presently in the country.

M.I said this on Twitter on Friday, moments after fellow rapper, Ycee accused show organizers of neglecting Nigerian rappers at the concert organized for Rick Ross in Lagos on Thursday which had Afro-beat singers like Davido, and Tiwa Savage, Rema, and Patoranking in attendance.

Supporting his Ycee’s claims, M.I said he was poorly treated during his 2008 collaboration with rapper Jay Z, pop star Rihanna and RNB singer Usher.

He, however, promised to make great music for those who can about the Rap genre.
