A Nigerian lady has recounted how $500 was deposited to her account with a strange payment description, sparking reactions online.

‎In a post on her X account, @Toniatuslim disclosed that the incident, which unfolded last year, involved a stranger depositing $500 to her account daily.

However, she remained silent, noting the transaction reference read, ‘For keeping my secret’

‎”I had no idea who it was, but the money was changing my life, so I never questioned it. I just kept quiet and enjoyed the cash“, She added.

‎As expected, the money was deposited into her account, but the transaction reference changed to, “They found evidence. Why did you talk?”
‎
‎However, this made her realize the foreign currency wasn’t intended for her.
‎
‎Furthermore, she sought clarity on reporting to security operatives or pretending she never received the transfers.
