Tinubu’s Administration to Benefit All of Nigeria – Shettima

The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, visited Maiduguri on Friday and assured that President Bola Tinubu’s administration would bring development to all regions of Nigeria. During a courtesy call on the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Garbai, Shettima acknowledged the challenges faced by Nigerians and mentioned that the government was actively taking steps to alleviate these hardships.

He emphasized that some of the tough decisions taken by the government were a result of the prevailing circumstances in the country. Shettima promised that the government would unveil numerous programs in the coming weeks and months to improve the lives of Nigerians.

Shettima also discussed plans to boost wheat production in Borno and other regions. He mentioned that discussions with the governor and his team would focus on reinvigorating wheat production in the state and nationwide. Additionally, Shettima revealed that President Tinubu had approved N50 billion for the Puulaku Initiative in North West Nigeria to address issues confronting the people through non-kinetic means.

Furthermore, the Vice President announced the President’s approval for the construction of 1000 houses in Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue states. These housing estates will include auxiliary facilities like clinics and schools. In Benue and Kaduna states, the housing projects will prioritize inclusivity.

Shettima called for the public’s patience and support as the administration worked towards delivering on its promises. He also praised Governor Babagana Zulum for his leadership and commitment to providing dividends of democracy to the people.

The Shehu of Borno welcomed the Vice President and highlighted the security challenges in his emirate. He emphasized the need for increased support to revive economic activities fully. The Shehu also congratulated President Tinubu and Kashim on their victory at the election tribunal and encouraged them to extend cooperation to their political opponents for the collective progress of the nation.
