Chelsea hosted French champions Lille at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night in one of the UCL round of 16 games.

The game was packed with pressure as Chelsea were coming into the game as the defending champions.

The champions did not disappoint as they capped the match with a straightforward win.
Goals from Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic helped Chelsea secured the win, giving them one foot firmly into the quarter final.

At the other game on Tuesday night, Villarreal hosted Juventus, Dusan Vlahovic scoring in the first minute of the game for Juve, but the Italian giant couldn’t hold onto their lead before Dani Parejo scored the equalizer for the yellow submarines.

Juventus were unable to pose enough threat in the later stages of the game.

The match ended 1-1 and both team will have to settle the score in the second leg which will be played at the Juventus stadium on 16th March next month.

On Wednesday, Manchester United visited Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Madrid. The host led through an early goal from Joao Felix.

Atletico had few other chances to add up to their lead but were unlucky as the ball struck the post twice in the game.

At the later stages of the match, Manchester United finally found a way to break the Atletico defense after not posing much threat in the match, Bruno Fernandes found youngster Anthony Elanga who finished calmly in front of goal.

The match ended as a draw and both teams will have to settle things at Old Trafford when next they meet in the second leg.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, Benfica hosted 2018 semi-finalist Ajax at the Estadio Da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal.

Sabastein Haller scored his 11th UCL goal this season but found himself at both end of the scoreline after scoring an own goal in the game, the match ended 2-2 against Benfica.
