The prime minister has apologised for the incident, saying it was an “error of judgement” to take his seat belt off to film a social media clip.

UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak has issued an apology after he was filmed not wearing a seat belt while a passenger in a moving car.

According to BBC, the prime minister has apologised for the incident.

Sunak admitted that it was an “error of judgement” to take his seat belt off to film a social media clip.

Not wearing a seat belt carries a maximum £500 fine.

Mr Sunak “fully accepts this was a mistake and apologises”, his spokesman told reporters.

The BBC understands the prime minister was in Lancashire when the video was filmed, during a trip across the north of England.

The video – to promote the government’s latest round of “levelling up” spending – was posted on Mr Sunak’s Instagram account earlier.

In the clip , which lasts around a minute, Mr Sunak can be seen addressing the camera while the car travels along, with police motorbikes briefly appearing in the background.

Passengers caught failing to wear a seat belt when one is available, unless covered by a valid exemption, can be given an on-the-spot £100 fine. The fine can increase to £500 if the case goes to court.

That’s in a country where people are hel accountable; where there are working systems! This is no news in Nigeria; our leaders are perpetual law breakers undecided

A sane society.

We will get there soon someday in our darling nation.

God help Nigeria.

You see how young and agile the PM is? Yet someone who is not senile enough to issue coherent speeches is contesting the position of President.

The also annoying is the person above me, a young man approximately in his mid-40s is supporting him.

Sentiments aside, I got employed by this present government, but it’s appalling the level they have taken us to, from the top that we were.

Do not forget to vote competence, do not allow anyone sway your disposition via religious and sentimental lines. It is true that this country needs to alter its present course and steer towards nobility, security, abundance, lower cost of living, etc. But that can only be achieved if we vote in someone who understands the job.

I might have to say that going by the campaigns so far, it is clear to the blind and audible to the deaf that a candidate who is not coherent enough to even his supporters is not the right person, a candidate who has health issues isn’t the right person for the job of President in this country. So many instances when security men had to shut down camera recordings because something was not right with a candidate.

Please let us stay away from nepotic politics.

More importantly, it is not a VOTE-OR-DIE affair

Britain: A country where things work because they have leaders like Peter Obi.

Nigeria: where things hardly work because they have leaders like Buhari, Tinubu and Atiku

We have the opportunity to make things work like what you read in the article, it starts with your vote.
