He said the victim was taken to the s*xual assault referral center Dutse for medical check-up and that the suspects were arrested.

According to a report by Daily Post, the police in Jigawa State have arrested a 70-year-old grandfather, Adamu Garba and 35-year-old Haruna Musa for allegedly rapping a 14-year-old girl in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area.

Police spokesman, ASP Lawan Shiisu Ahmad disclosed this in a press statement issued to DAILY POST.

He said the arrest was based on police report on 15/11/2021 at about 1230hrs from one Aminu Sule of Gangare Qtrs B/Kudu LGA that, on the same date at about 1030hrs, he caught his grandmother’s husband having a carnal knowledge with his younger sister.

Shiisu said during the course of investigation, the victim also mentioned that while she was hawking fried yam, one Haruna Musa called her into his house, pretended to be buying yam and forcefully had s*xual intercourse with her.

He said the victim was taken to s*xual assault referral center Dutse for medical check-up and that the suspects were arrested.

The police spokesman said investigation was ongoing and they will be charged to court.
