The 22-year-old man, Ibrahim Musa who stabbed his biological mother to death with a sharp knife in Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano state has been apprehended by the police.

Spokesperson of the Kano Police command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, May 5, 2023, said the suspect was arrested at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tota LGA on Thursday night.

According to the PPRO, the suspect confessed to the crime and also admitted to dealing in illicit drugs.

“On the 4th May 2023 at about 2200hrs (10pm), Ibrahim Musa, ‘m’, 22 years old was arrested at a criminal hideout in Dawakin Tofa LGA, Kano State after stabbing his 50-year-old biological mother to death at Rimin Kebbe Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State,’ the statement read.

“The suspect confessed to the crime and also confessed to dealing in illicit drug abuse. He will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation,”
