VeryDarkMan: Man Destroys His GTBank ATM Card Over Security Concerns

A video has surfaced online showing a man destroying his Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) ATM card, expressing fear and concern for the safety of the bank’s customers.

In the video, he says:
“I just got back from GTBank, where I went to block my account. I am officially destroying my debit card now because I no longer want anything to do with GTBank. If someone like VeryDarkMan can be easily kidnapped at a GTBank branch, then no one is safe.”

He revealed that he had transferred all his funds to digital financial platforms like OPay and Moniepoint.

Displaying his GTBank debit card—which he noted was still relatively new and valid until April 2028—he expressed serious concern over the way VeryDarkMan was arrested by the EFCC. Without hesitation, he used a pair of scissors to cut the card into pieces, declaring that he is completely done with the bank.
