Spartak Moscow director, Shamil Gazizov has described Moscow as a home away from home for Victor Moses after the Nigerian recently expressed his love for the city.

In an exclusive chat with sports-express on Friday, Gazizov played down fears that the on-loan Chelsea star could struggle to cope with life in Moscow given the weather and its strong record of racial discrimination.

He stressed that Moses has adapted to life in Moscow and integrated fully into the squad as the club step up preparations for this weekend’s clash with Krasnodar.

Moses was deliberately dropped from the Spartak side that lost 1-0 to Yenisey in Wednesday’s Russia Cup stage clash in a bid to allow the Nigerian regain full fitness ahead of the 12th round of Tinkoff RPL against Krasnodar this weekend.betpay & google ads

” The team is doing well, training is in full swing. There are no new injuries.

“The training process is going on, he is gaining shape, let’s see what will happen in the next game. Moses likes Moscow, a big city, everything is fine.” he said.

The former Fenerbahce forward joined the Muscovites after he became surplus to requirements at Chelsea and has been tipped by former Lokomotiv Moscow striker, Peter Odemwingie to be a big hit in the Russian league this season.

The former Wigan forward made his highly anticipated debut in the 11th round of the RPL against Khimki, coming on as a substitute in the 55th minute to replace Nail Umyarov as Spartak won 3-2.

The epic clash against Krasnodar will see Moses leading Spartak’s onslaught in the club’s quest to compete for honours in the Russian league this season.

Moses earns less than 3 million euros annually as a Chelsea player but was told by Spartak officials to accept a 25 percent salary cut if he must secure a move the Russian side.
