“Was I wrong?” – Married man cries out after wife threatens to leave marriage over secret DNA test

A married man has sparked reactions online after revealing that his wife has threatened to leave their marriage after discovering he had secretly carried out a DNA test on their newborn daughter.

The story was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @Ruky_Baby27, where the man anonymously opened up about the doubts that pushed him into taking the decision without his wife’s knowledge.

Suspicion During Pregnancy

According to him, concerns began during his wife’s pregnancy when he noticed changes in her behaviour.

He claimed she became emotionally distant and more protective of her phone, which made him uncomfortable.

“My wife gave birth to our baby girl three days ago and instead of enjoying fatherhood peacefully, I secretly did a DNA test behind her back,” he wrote.

He added that pressure from friends also contributed to his fears.

“…my friends kept putting fear in my head with stories of men raising children that were not theirs. I tried ignoring it, but the doubt kept eating me alive.”

Secret DNA Test After Childbirth

Despite staying with his wife throughout labour, the man admitted the suspicion did not go away.

“I stayed with her throughout labour. I watched her scream in pain for hours. I held her hand, prayed for her, and almost cried when our daughter was born.”

He revealed that the next morning, while his wife was asleep in the hospital, he secretly arranged the DNA test.

Results Confirm Baby Is His

The doctor reportedly confirmed that he was the biological father of the child after a DNA test was carried out, and he later posted about it online.

“The result came back yesterday. The baby is mine. I posted, ‘Just did DNA test right after birth. Baby girl is mine.’ I thought people would laugh and move on.”

Wife Feels Betrayed and Humiliated

However, the post reportedly triggered an emotional reaction from his wife, who broke down after seeing it.

“She started crying and asked me how I could watch her suffer for nine months, push a child out, and still think she cheated on me. she feels humiliated and betrayed, especially because I posted it publicly.”

Marriage On Brink of Collapse

The man disclosed that his wife is now considering leaving the marriage once she is discharged from the hospital.

“She’s now talking about leaving the marriage after she leaves the hospital.”

“Was I wrong for secretly doing the DNA test, or is my wife overreacting?,” he added.
