“We sleep outside and barely eat, yet I will stand by my husband” — Lady says

A woman has moved many social media users after sharing her struggle with homelessness and poverty while insisting she would never abandon her husband despite their difficult condition.

The lady narrated how she and her husband reportedly travelled a long distance to Abuja in search of a better life but have been homeless since January.

According to her, the couple now sleep outside and often struggle to find food, yet she remains committed to staying with her husband because of the love and bond they share.

Woman says family abandoned her over marriage

Speaking emotionally, the woman explained that some members of her family turned against her because she refused to leave her husband for another man despite their financial hardship.

“I cannot leave my husband for any reason. Because of him, all my family members abandoned me. We’ve been homeless since January and we sleep outside, but I’ll never leave my husband. We barely see food to eat and people laugh at us as if we are nothing.”

The woman further revealed that her grandmother chased her out of the house after she refused pressure to marry someone else.

She added that her husband was financially stable before she became pregnant for him, but circumstances later changed.

“He was not this poor when I got pregnant for him, but regardless, I have decided to stay with him. We’ve been praying and I know God will come through for us,” she added.

The touching story has since generated reactions online, with many Nigerians praising her loyalty while others called for support for the struggling couple.
