Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has sparked reactions online after revealing that she destroyed the outfit she wore to the burial of late actor Alex Ekubo.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the actress disclosed that her Godmother advised her not to keep clothes worn to a burial ceremony.
According to Angela, she decided to follow the advice and felt it was important to share the information with her family, friends and followers.
“This is the outfit I wore to Alex’s burial. My Godmother said it is not good to have the cloth you wore to a burial around you; you burn them,” she said.

The actress also shared a video showing the outfit burning in flames as she got rid of it. She noted that the advice was something she had only recently learned and wanted others to be aware of it.
Angela further prayed for long life and God’s protection over her loved ones while reflecting on the loss of the late actor.
“So family and friends take note. I felt I should share this information. May the Lord keep and bless us with long life. Amen. Chai,” she added.
Her revelation sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users agreeing with the tradition and sharing similar experiences, while others questioned her reason for sharing such information publicly.
Alex Ekubo was laid to rest some days ago after losing his battle with cancer, and since then, colleagues, friends and fans have continued to honour his memory by sharing tributes and recalling moments they spent with the late actor.
