“Why I won’t encourage Nigerians to relocate abroad” – Rotimi Amaechi

Former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, has stated that he usually discourages Nigerians from relocating abroad.

According to him, the only job opportunities in foreign countries for Nigerians are usually nine-to-five jobs whereas, in Nigeria, someone can ‘’just wake up and become a minister, a Senator, or a Governor.” The Minister stated this during an interview with Arise TV.

In his words;

‘’I have always discouraged those who want to leave the country. You can always get a 9-5 job when you leave the country but you can never get the opportunity you will get in Nigeria. You can just wake up one day and become a Minister in Nigeria, a governor. It just happens. I don’t know how this country operates. If you are looking for opportunities, please stay back in Nigeria”
