“You’ll eat snacks or sleep hungry” – Lady reveals what she won’t do for her husband in marriage

A Nigerian lady has sparked mixed reactions online after revealing one thing she would never tolerate in her marriage, insisting she would not cook for her husband after returning home if he had spent the entire day at home.

Speaking in a video making the rounds on X (formerly Twitter), she said she has observed certain situations in other people’s marriages that she would never allow in hers, particularly when it comes to sharing household responsibilities.

In her words, she said:

“The things that happen in other people’s marriage that I hear and see, I will never allow such to happen in my marriage,”

The lady argued that if her husband is at home all day, whether working remotely or simply staying indoors, she sees no reason he should wait for her to return before eating.

She further stated that after spending the day at work or enduring traffic, she would not come home apologising before heading to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

“You either eat snacks or go to bed hungry. It can never happen here. It’s not normal,” she added.

Her remarks have since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some agreeing that household responsibilities should be shared equally, while others argued that caring for one another is an important part of marriage.
